Black-Throated Wind shows up 70 times in 1972, according to SetList, so that's the leader at the moment.

how bout what song played the highest % of times in a year?

the only reason I can come up with that Throwing Stones would'nt win is the smaller number of shows?

had to be played 60 out of 150 in 82? 65 out of 100 in 83?
50 out of 100 in 81?

And BTW, Black-Throated Wind beats Throwing Stones even more in the % shows than total shows category, as it was played at 70 of 85 1972 shows.

Also, what do you suppose happened at the two 1976 shows where they didn't play Samson and Delilah? Did they just forget?

An excellent question, especially since it resurrects what really got me thinking about this issue. In 1976, Samson and Delilah was played at 39 of 41 shows in SetList. It can't measure up in the total shows per year category only because the 1976 tour started in June. But I'm fairly confident it will never be challenged in your inspired % of shows per year category.
